There were no injuries immediately reported in a late night shooting that occurred in a Jersey City neighborhood according to authorities.
Residents in the 400 block of New York Avenue contacted police when they heard nearly a dozen loud popping noises shortly before midnight
Police arriving to the scene a short time later found a parked vehicle with windows shot out but a search of the area had no victims located reports said.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation by the Jersey City Police Department.
