Passaic County authorities are on the search for a suspect wanted for a shooting that injured one person in Paterson during the overnight hours.
According to preliminary reports, gunfire rang out in the vicinity of Market and Summer streets at approximately 3:53 a.m. that sent police officers to the scene to investigate.
Units arrived and found an unidentified person struck by bullets at that location.
The victim was transported to St. Joseph's Medical center for treatment and the victim's condition remains unknown at this time.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
