Elizabeth Police are looking into the motive for a shooting that injured a person at a location in the city Saturday night.
Police say it happened around 11:45 p.m. on Anna Street, where police found the victim suffering a bullet wound in their back after officers responded to the area for shots fired.
Officers were involved in a foot pursuit of a man down Division Street, but officials have not confirmed if the chased was connected to the shooting.
The condition of the victim has not been reported as fatal at this time.
