Gunfire Strikes Two Victims in Newark's West Ward

Police in Newark are investigating a shooting incident that injured two victims in a section of Newark Monday evening.

According to police, gunfire rang out in the 600 block of South 20th Street just before 8 p.m. sending police from Newark and Irvington to the area to investigate.

Upon arrival, officers found two males suffering gunshot wounds after shooters began to fire shots at the victims at that location.

Police say both victims were transported to University Hospital for treatment of severe injuries.

The suspects fled the scene and remain at-large.
