One person suffered non-fatal injuries in a shooting in Rahway on Monday.
The early morning shooting happened around 2:25 a.m in the 40's block of East Hazelwood Avenue.
Police responded to reports of shots fired, and when they arrived at the scene, officers found an unidentified person suffering a bullet wound in their arm.
The victim was transported to University Hospital in Newark for treatment and is expected to recover.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation. Police have not confirmed if the victim was injured in the NYC mass shooting.
No arrests have been immediately reported.
