Police are investigating a shooting incident that injured a person in Elizabeth Tuesday night.
Officers responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the vicinity of Prince Sreet and Westminster Avenue shortly before 8 p.m.
Officers arrived and found the unidentified victim suffering a non-fatal bullet wound to their buttocks.
The victim was transported to University Hospital in Newark for treatment and is expected to recover.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
No arrests have been reported.
