Newark Police are investigating a shots fired incident that occurred in the city's Central Ward on Thursday night.
Police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the vicinity of 261 West Kinney Street just before 7:55 p.m.
Units arriving at the scene found evidence that a shooting occurred but a search of the area had no victims found.
Officers located a vehicle with bullet holes during their investigation.
The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.
