Authorities in Paterson are investigating overnight gunfire that erupted on a street in the city.
Several reports of shots fired sent police to the area of Market Street and Southard Street shortly before 2 a.m.
Arriving units located a vehicle struck by several rounds of gunfire but a thorough search of the area did not find any victims.
Authorities reached out to several hospitals for possible victims but there were no immediate reports of any injured victims.
Paterson Police are handling the investigation.
