Police are investigating an overnight shooting that occurred in a neighborhood in Newark.
Reports of shots fired that rang out in the 100 block of Cutler Street has several police units on the scene at around 9:30 p.m. where officers canvassed the area for injured victims and property damage.
Police found a vehicle struck by bullets, but there were no victims were immediately located.
Residents said a male suspect arrived in the area and began to fire several rounds before he fled the scene.
Newark Police will handle the investigation.
