Police in Jersey City are on the search for a woman who fired shots at a female victim at a location in the city Saturday night.
According to police, just before 9:45 p.m., officers responded to reports of shots fired near 251 16th Street.
When officers arrived, they found shell casings, but no victims were located.
Police say a female told them that an unidentified black woman approached, pointed the gun at her face then pulled the trigger.
Authorities say the gunfire missed the victim and the suspect fled the scene. The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
She remains at large at this time.
