A female victim that was transported by private vehicle to University Hospital is suffering a gunshot injury at this time.
The victim arrived to the hospital at around 12:52 p.m. reported to hospital officials that she was shot somewhere in the area of Frelinghuysen Ave. and Emerson Street shortly before arriving to hospital.
The extent of the victim's injuries are not reported to be life threatening at this time (struck to the foot).
Several police units are canvassing the area located two shell casings in the 700 block of Frelinghuysen Ave.
