Police and EMS are on the scene of a shooting that happened in the city's West Ward a short time ago.
Multiple rounds of gunfire erupted in the area of Stuyvesant Ave. and South Orange Ave. shortly before 4:30 a.m. sending first responders to the scene where they found the victim unconscious at that location.
A crime scene has been established where several shell casings have been recovered.
Please avoid the area if you are headed out this morning.
UPDATE 4:59 a.m. This ia a confirmed fatality. Condolences to the victim's family and friends.
