Authorities in Jersey City are looking into the motive for a shooting that occurred in a neighborhood Thursday evening.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the vicinity 220 Stegman Street to investigate reports of shots fired that rang out at approximately 9:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers found evidence that a shooting occurred, but after police searched the area, there were no injuries reported.
Police collected shell casings at the scene of the shooting.
The suspect reportedly fled the scene on foot and remain at-large.
