Paterson authorities reported a shots-fired incident in a neighborhood on Tuesday night, with no injuries confirmed.
The gunfire occurred in the area of Governor Street and Straight Street shortly before 9:20 p.m., prompting a swift response from local police.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers immediately alerted hospitals in the region to be on the lookout for potential gunshot victims.
However, despite an extensive search of the area, no victims were located.
Officers canvassing the scene did find at least one shell casing, indicating the presence of gunfire.
The suspect in this incident fled the scene, and as of now, no arrests have been made.
Paterson Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident.
The community remains on high alert, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist in their ongoing investigation.
