Gunfire Erupts In Paterson; Injuries Reported

According to a statement released by authorities, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald announced that at approximately 2:35, a.m. Sunday morning, members of the Paterson Police Department responded to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson after being advised that a 25- year-old male Paterson resident was seeking treatment for non-life threatening gunshot wounds.

Police say based on the initial investigation, the victim the victim reported while he was on McBride Avenue, gunfire erupted in the area and connected on him.

It is not immediately clear if the suspect was in a vehicle at the time of the shooting.

The investigation remains active and ongoing
