Police in Newark's West Ward are on the scene of a shots-fired incident with no reports of injuries at this time.
According to preliminary reports, shooters arrived in the vicinity of Brookdale and Lindsley avenues at approximately 5:20 p.m and began to fire several rounds at unknown targets.
Police arrived at the scene and found shell casings ut after a search for the area, cops did not locate any victims according to reports.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
