Police are on the scene of a shooting with a man injured in the city's East Ward at this time.
According to reports, a man who was walking to the store near the single digit block of Riverview Court at around 2:45 p.m has been struck by gunfire, but his injuries are considered non-life threatening.
Police searched the housing complex and found evidence of a shooting in the courtyard.
The victim is being transported to University Hospital suffering a leg injury.
There is a crowd of spectators beginning to gather at the scene at this time

UPDATE 3:17 p.m. Police located at least one bullet inside an apartment after it entered through a window. It is not immediately clear if the man (22-year-old) was shot inside the apartment then walked outside. A woman that was inside the apartment needed medical attention for some type of trauma but was not shot according to reports. There was a physical altercation among onlookers that police requested additional units to assist in breaking up.
