There were no injuries reported in a shots-fired incident that occurred in a section of Newark's East Ward on Monday morning.
According to police, gunfire rang out in the vicinity of Horatio and Hawkins streets around 1:20 a.m.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found evidence that a shooting occurred, but a search of the area indicated no victims.
Police say the shooter fled the scene and remains at-large.
