An early afternoon shooting in Newark has police searching for the suspects responsible.
Gunfire erupted in the single digit block of Stratford Place at around 1:45 p.m. sending police to the scene where officers located shell casings at that location.
A female victim was transported to University Hospital when she told officers that she was injured by gunfire to the leg.
The extent of the woman's injuries were not immediately clear.
The incident is under investigation.
