Police recovered shell casings at the scene of a shots-fired incident that occurred on a street in Jersey City this evening.
According to preliminary reports, police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the vicinity of 19 Van Nostrand Avenue at approximately 5:10 p.m.
When officers arrived, they checked the area for victims, but there were no injuries reported by police.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
