There were no injuries reported in a shooting that occurred inside at a park in Newark's North Ward late Friday night.
According to police, Essex Sheriff Office units responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the area of Branch Brook Place and Montclair Avenue at around 11:50 p.m.
When units arrived, they found shell casings inside Branch Brook Park but a search of the area indicated no victims.
Police say a male suspect fled on foot inside the park and remains at-large.
