Gunfire erupted this evening in the 200 block of Ripley Place sending heavy police presence to the scene where a male victim was shot at that location.
EMS transported the gentleman to the hospital where he suffered a gunshot wound to the leg at around 6:30 p.m.
Police are on the search for two black males reportedly wearing dark hoodies and ski-mask who fled the scene in what appeared to be a dark colored Chrysler Town and Country Minivan.
The victim was conscious and alert.
