Police set up a crime scene in the area of Sanford Avenue and Elmwood Avenue overnight after a shooting sent a male victim to the hospital.
Multiple rounds of gunfire broke the silence of the evening sending police to the scene where officers found over a half dozen shell casings and the victim shot at that location at around 10 p.m.
EMS transported the victim to University Hospital where the extent od his injuries could not be confirmed as life threatening.
Residents in the area observed investigators mark off several shell casings with cones in an attempt to identify a motive for the shooting.
The incident remains under investigation.
