Gunfire erupted in the 200 block of North Grove Street shortly before 9:30 p.m. sending several police units to the scene where they located a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound at that location.
EMS transported the victim to University Hospital in an unknown condition.
Police have established a crime scene in the area where is a search for the shooter.
