Police in Newark are looking into the motive behind a shooting in Newark's South Ward Friday evening.
South Ward police officers raced to the scene of shots fired that rang out in the single-digit block of Clinton Place near Clinton Avenue around 7 p.m.
Units arrived at the scene and found shell casings, but after a search of several blocks on Clinton Place, no injuries were reported.
The suspect fled the scene and has not been apprehended at this time.
Newark Police Department will handle the investigation.
