There were non-life threatening injuries reported for the victim of a shooting that occurred near a playground in Irvington Township.
Police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out at the intersection of Green Terrace and Philip Place before 3:30 p.m. where officers arrived to find about a half dozen shell casings at that location.
Police taped off the area around The Greene Terrace Playground as they searched for additional victims and other evidence. Three suspects were observed running from the scene and entering a vehicle that sped away towards Chancellor Avenue.
Township officials have not responded to public information requests for the age of the victim.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
