Authorities in Union County are investigating an early morning shooting that left one person injured in Elizabeth.
Police were called to the area of 86 Westfield Avenue at approximately 1:46 a.m. Tuesday after receiving reports of a shooting.
Responding officers located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. EMS transported the injured person to University Hospital in Newark for treatment.
The victim’s condition and circumstances surrounding the shooting have not been confirmed at this time.
The investigation remains active, and additional information is expected as authorities continue their investigation.
