Authorities in Somerset County are investigating a shooting that injured a person in Green Brook Township on Saturday night.
According to a preliminary investigation, the Somerset County Prosecutor's office and Green Brook Police were called to reports of shots fired that rang out in the vicinity of 15 US-22 around 11 p.m.
Upon arrival, police found an unidentified person suffering a bullet wound at that location.
Police say the victim was rushed to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick for treatment and remain in serious condition.
Authorities have not released any suspect information or a motive for the shooting at the time.
