Governor Street Shooting Injures One in Paterson

Passaic County officials announce that at approximately 9:54 p.m. on October 7, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Governor Street and Summer Street in Paterson on a report of shots fired.

According to police, upon arrival, members of the Paterson Police Department located evidence of a crime scene but were unable to locate a victim. A short time later a 42-year-old male Paterson resident who sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound was located in the area of Governor Street and 12th Avenue in Paterson.

Police report that the victim was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
