A Good Samaritan jumped into the Passaic River after a car crashed into the water in Belleville.
According to authorities, the female driver struck a guardrail on Route 21 before the vehicle went into the Passaic River.
Police say a good Samaritan jumped into the water and ultimately managed to help the driver before the car floated away.
Officials say the driver and the good samaritan were both rescued from the water with non-life threatening injuries before the car submerged.
Authorities are at the scene, working on getting the car out of the water.
