A 26-year-old Bergen County gas station employee has been charged after investigators say he performed lewd acts while customers were sitting inside their vehicles at a Franklin Lakes gas station.
According to information released by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, Manpreet Singh of Oakland was arrested following a joint investigation with the Franklin Lakes Police Department.
Authorities said the investigation began on May 28 after Franklin Lakes police received reports of alleged lewd incidents at the Delta gas station on Franklin Avenue.
Investigators determined that Singh, who worked at the gas station, allegedly masturbated while near vehicles occupied by customers on the property.
Detectives say the alleged behavior occurred on at least three separate occasions.
Singh was arrested on July 9 in Oakland and charged with three counts of lewdness, a disorderly persons offense.
He was released pending his first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack.
