Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, along with the Freehold Township Police Department and with the assistance of the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office, New Jersey State Police, Woodbridge Police Department and Sayreville Police Department are investigating a homicide in Freehold Township and an apparent suicide in Woodbridge Township.
According to authorities, officers found Denise Bartone dead inside her Koster Drive home in Freehold Township.
Investigations ultimately lead police to the Thomas Edison Memorial Bridge in Woodbridge early this morning, where police found a vehicle registered to the family parked.
Officials say, Kenneth Bartone, the husband of the victim, was found floating in the Raritan River this afternoon, dead of an apparent suicide.
Police do not believe there is any further danger to the public.
The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
