Four Injured in Separate Jersey City Shootings

A violent overnight in Jersey City has police looking into shootings that injured several people in the city.

The evening began with gunfire erupting in the 90's block of Arlington Avenue at around 8:15 p.m. sending police to the scene where they located a male victim suffering injury from gunfire according to reports.

The victim was transported to Jersey City Medical Center where he suffered a non-life threatenieng gunshot wound to the leg.

The motive for the shooting is under investigation.

Shortly before 12:30 a.m., several police units rushed to the area of Ocean Avenue and Bidwell Avenue after reports of shots fire rang out.

Arriving units located two males shot at that location. One of the victims suffered a serious gunshot wound to the leg while the other victim was reportedly struck to the ankle.

Both victim's injuries were reported to be non-life threatening as of 3:30 a.m.

In the final shooting of the overnight, police responded to shot fired reports that erupted in the 20's block of Grant Avenue where police reportedly located a female victim suffering a gunshot wound to the hand.

Her injuries were reported to be non-life threatening when she was transported to Jersey City Medical Center.

All of the shootings are under investigation by the Jersey City Police Department.

The latest shooting brings a total of seven (7) people shot with one of the victim dying in a 24-hour span in the city.

There were no immediate reports of arrests made.
