A multi-vehicle crash that involved multiple tractor trailers and a New Jersey Transit bus on the New Jersey Turnpike this morning, has at least eight injured including a person that was extricated from the bus.
According to State Police, the crash occurred shortly before at 8 a.m. at mile marker 97.8 on the New Jersey Turnpike northbound.
The eight seriously injured victims were transported to University Hospital in Newark, according police.One of the seriously injured victims had to be extricated from the bus, State Police added.
According to reports, 61 passengers were on board NJ Transit bus 63.
Police are still at the scene investigating. No additional was immediately available at this time.
