Firefighters battled a fast moving 2-alarm fire that ignited a garage in Bergenfield.
Fire broke out at 89 Beucler Place at around 9:30 a.m. where firefighters arrived to the scene to find heavy fire in a rear porch that began to spread to the rear of the garage and into the house.
Crews used three lines to knock down the fire with mutual aid from Dumont, New Milford, and Englewood assisting on the scene.
The fire was placed under control in about a half hour according to fire official.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
