Fire Breaks Out in Orange Apartment Building, Residents Suffer Smoke Inhalation

Late Sunday night, firefighters rushed to 749 Scotland Road (South Orange Towers) in Orange following reports of a fire shortly before 9:50 p.m.AHAUpon arrival, crews discovered flames engulfing a second-floor apartment, with thick smoke spreading to parts of the building's corridors.

Firefighters brought the blaze under control in less than half an hour. However, during the ordeal, several individuals became trapped in an elevator.

While the injuries sustained included smoke inhalation, none were deemed life-threatening.

The cause of the fire remains unknown and is currently under investigation by authorities.

Residents of the apartment building are now dealing with the aftermath of the incident.
