Authorities in Middlesex County are investigating a shooting that injured a female in New Brunswick Saturday morning.
A preliminary investigation indicated that at approximately 1:40 a.m., police responded to reports of shots fired in the teens block of Comstock Street.
Units arrived and found a female suffering a gunshot wound at that location.
The victim was rushed to an area hospital for treatment and no fatal injuries were immediately reported.
The motive for the shooting has not been determined.
