Female Seriously Injured After Being Struck by Vehicle in Paterson

Paterson Police are investigating an incident in which a female pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle Saturday evening.

The collision occurred around 8 p.m. near the intersection of Madison Avenue and Cedar Street. 

Police and emergency medical services responded swiftly to the scene after receiving reports of a person down in the roadway.

Upon arrival, emergency responders found the unidentified female victim unconscious, having sustained severe injuries. 

She was rushed to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment. Her exact condition was not immediately available.

Police have not yet released additional details, and the incident remains under active investigation.
