NJ State Police are investigating a pedestrian strike that caused fatal industries to a person in Union on Sunday night.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the Union Garden State Parkway rest stop after they received reports of a person hit by a car before 10:10 p.m.
Upon arrival, they found an unidentified person suffering severe injuries after a vehicle struck the victims at that location.
The victim was pronounced dead a short time later, according to NJ State Police.
Police say the investigation remains active, ongoing and no other injuries were reported.
