Fatal Injuries Reported in Bergen County NJ Turnpike Crash

NJ State Police are investigating a crash that caused fatal injuries on a highway in Bergen County overnight. 

A preliminary investigation indicated that at approximately midnight, police dispatched to the northbound lanes of NJ Turnpike near mile marker 120. 

Upon arrival, police found the crash scene with individuals rapped inside a vehicle.

At least one person was confirmed dead at the scene and another was reportedly in 'grave' condition after emergency responders extricated the pair from the vehicle. 

One other person was rushed to Hackensack University Medical Center in serious condition. 

The cause of the crash is under an active and ongoing investigation.
