One person was killed in an early-morning crash that happened in Union County Sunday.
According to a preliminary investigation, New Providence Police responded to the reports of a crash with injuries in the vicinity of Hillary Place and Union Avenue just before 3:30 a.m.
Police arrived and found a car left the roadway and crashed into several trees at that location.
According to reports, the impact of the collision ejected the driver from the car and caused fatal injuries.
Police officials are investigating the cause of the crash at this time.
