Fatal Crash Closes NJ-21 in Clifton

An early morning crash that occurred on Route 21 in Clifton left one person dead and police temporarily closing the highway for the investigation.

The incident happened in the southbound lanes near Randolph Avenue before 2 am sending emergency responders to the scene where a male victim was rushed to St. Joseph's Hospital suffering life-threatening injuries according to preliminary reports.

The victim, who is reported to be in his late 20's, died from his injuries reports said.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. The man has not been identified at this time.
