Family Identify 4-Year-Old Slain by Brother, 6; Assistance from Community Needed

The family of a slain 4-year-old boy spoke to RLS Metro Breaking News and released the child's identity early this morning.

Family members identified the boy as 4-year-old Christopher Lassiter and said Christopher was into having fun and playing with Tonka Trucks.

Christopher suffered a gunshot injury Saturday morning at around 11 a.m. and made his transition Saturday evening according to authorities from the Essex County Prosecutor's Office.

"He loved his family and it brought him joy to play with his siblings and cousins", family members told RLS Metro Breaking News.

"Our family is holding up as much as you can expect after such a tragic lost. We want to thank the public for their warm regards and emotional support during these extremely difficult times", family members concluded.
