Ewing Man Arrested, Charged for Hamilton Shooting

Hamilton officials have announced the arrest of a man in connection with a shooting that occurred in the Township last Friday

According to police officials on Friday, December 11, at 11:15 p.m., a Hamilton Police officer was in the area of Greenwood Avenue and Atlantic Avenue when he heard gunshots coming from the area of Massachusetts Avenue and Norman Court. 

According to reports, upon his arrival in the area, he observed a male and female running in his direction. The male had been shot in the buttocks. 

Additional units arrived on scene and during the course of the investigation identified Donald Robinson, 27, of Ewing as the shooter.

Officials reported that on December 12, along with the United State Marshal's Office, New Jersey State Police Crime Suppression Unit, and Hamilton Police Anti-Crime Unit, officers located Donald Robinson at a residence in Ewing and placed him under arrest. 

He was charged with Criminal Attempt Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Possession of Weapon for Unlawful Purpose, Unlawful Possession of Weapon, and Certain Persons Not to Possess Weapons.
