Essex County Powerball Ticket Wins $100K

NJ Lottery Officials are reporting that four lottery tickets in the state matched four of the five white balls and the Power Ball drawn for the Wednesday, August 16, drawing winning the $50,000 second-tier prize.  

Official said one of those tickets was purchased with the Power Play option, multiplying the prize to $100,000.

Those tickets were sold at the following locations:

$100,000

  • Essex County ($100,000): Krauszer’s Food Store, 300 Broad St., Bloomfield;

$50,000

  • Hudson County: Shoprite of Bayonne #119, 583 Avenue C, Bayonne; 
  • Middlesex County:  RS Foodmart & Deli; 219 Riva Ave., Milltown, and,
  • Passaic County: Quick Stop, 261 Clifton Ave., Clifton.

The winning numbers for the Wednesday,August 16, drawing were: 09, 11, 17, 19, and 55

The Red Power Ball number was 01. The Power Play was 2X. 24,527 other New Jersey players took home an estimated $133,659 in prizes ranging from $4 to $200. 

The Powerball jackpot rolls to $264,000,000 for the next drawing to be held Saturday, August 19, at 10:59 p.m.
