Authorities in Bergen County are investigating a late-night shooting in Englewood that prompted a significant police response but left no reported injuries.
The incident occurred shortly before 11 p.m. when a ShotSpotter device detected gunfire in the area of Knickerbocker Road.
Police were immediately dispatched to the scene, where they located multiple shell casings.
A search of the surrounding neighborhood did not reveal any victims, and no injuries were reported. Witnesses told officers that a dark-colored vehicle was seen fleeing the area immediately after the shots were fired.
The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and no arrests have been made as of Saturday morning. 
The investigation is active and ongoing.
