Police found shell casings at the scene of a shots fired incident in a section of Elizabeth Tuesday night.
According to reports, at approximately 9:20 p.m., officers responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the area of 542 East Jersey Street.
Upon arrival, police taped off the area after locating spent shell casings, live rounds and narcotics.
Officials say after they searched the scene, no victims were found.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
