Three men have been arrested and are charged with involvement in a series of violent crimes committed between December 2022 and January 2023.

Linden Police Detectives, in cooperation with the Union County Prosecutor’s Office and the Elizabeth, Roselle, and Orange Police Departments, conducted a comprehensive, four-month investigation that identified the suspects and led to the charges.

Officials said on December 26, 2022, Linden Police Officers responded to 16 W. Elizabeth Ave on reports of an armed robbery at a local business.

A subsequent investigation identified Mr. Isiah Barrett, 32, of Elizabeth, Mr. Daron Thomas, 32, of East Orange, and Mr. Alfred Pierre, 37, of Roselle, as suspects in the robbery.

The men are also charged with a second armed robbery on the 1300 block of E. St. George Avenue and a carjacking on W. Edgar Rd in Linden on January 8, 2023.

Barrett, Thomas, and Pierre are each charged with first-degree carjacking, as well as multiple counts of first-degree armed robbery, second-degree conspiracy to commit robbery, and other weapons-related offenses.

The men also face similar charges related to additional crimes in Elizabeth, Roselle, and Orange.

Barrett was arrested for the W. Elizabeth Ave robbery on January 11, 2023, and was served with additional charges while in custody at the Essex County Jail.

Thomas and Pierre were arrested on April 4, 2023, without incident and committed to the Union County Jail.
