Police are investigating a crash that left a pedestrian injured in Elizabeth Wednesday night.
The incident occurred shortly before 10 p.m. near the intersection of Dehart Place and Rahway Avenue.
According to preliminary information, officers responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle and immediately requested EMS to the scene.
The injured victim was treated at the location before being transported to an area hospital for further medical care.
The extent of the victim's injuries was not immediately available.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
