Elizabeth Man Arrested for Newark Shooting

Police arrested an Elizabeth Man and charged him with a shooting that injured a person in Newark.

According to authorities, Jahmeen E. Stallings, 36, of Elizabeth was arrested today for an Aggravated Assault Shooting in the 800-block of South 18th Street in Newark.

Police said, at approximately 12 a.m., Saturday, August 20, 2016, a 30-year old male victim walked into the Newark Police Division’s 5th Precinct to report that he had been shot.

The victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment according to police.

Detectives developed evidence that Jahmeen Stallings is a suspect in this aggravated assault shooting.

Bail for Stallings has been set at $150,000.00.

Stallings is charged with Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful purpose.

These mere accusations lodged against Stallings.

He is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
